Graduation has come and gone! I was honored to not only receive my master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, but also receive the Bernard Gordon Entrepreneurial Award and introduce our graduation speaker Paul C. Tash. I am so thankful to everyone I met during my year at Medill, including my talented classmates, my professors and the staff at the school who made the time fly.
I didn’t have much time to relax after graduation, because I accepted a job as content specialist for Medical Economics magazine in Cleveland, OH. I am excited about this challenging position, and I hope I can learn as much as I can about the economic issues facing health care industries, while adding my love for writing and multimedia to the company.
I also plan to continue telling stories about women’s issues, art, music and culture as a freelancer, and possibly branch into documentaries and more long form storytelling. I feel so empowered and energized to start this new part of my career!
