Labeled “the Kanye West of R&B” music, alternative R&B singer Peter Hadar will be performing live at LIP SERVICE at Suite 143 (303 S. Fourth Street) on Friday, December 16 from 8-11p.m. with Columbus singer ReneeDion.

Featured in The New York Times, Billboard, Vibe and Giant magazines and the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, among several other publications, websites and cities across the country, Peter Hadar has been curating his blend of alternative soul and pop music to his fanbase affectionately known as Cool Weirdos. His albums Memories of The Heart, Well Dressed For The Art Show and She’s 4 Months have propelled the New Jersey native into the national spotlight with singles including Planets (featuring model/actress Selita Ebanks in the sci-fi video), “Full Time Lover and “Still A Boss” with Slim Thug, a parody featured in The Daily Show. His newest album, Take Off Victoria (to be released early 2012), includes the hit song, “Your Body,” that has been featured prominently across the web on sites including,,, and many others. This genre pushing singer is a comet in a galaxy of nu-soul singers, pushing the sonic and artistic envelope with every note.

Hadar joins ReneeDion, whose latest release, The City That Sleeps, has been featured on a host of music websites. After sharpening her skills in Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlanta, the Ohio native is quickly becoming one of the most talked about new singers in alternative soul music. Her album released earlier this year, The Rhapsody Inn, is a sultry blend of jazz, R&B, hip hop and soul, and gained the attention of nu-soul superstar Eric Roberson, landing her an appearance on his album, Mister Nice Guy. With production by BJazz and Rob Riley of The Liquid Crystal Project, ReneeDion’s music sits between moody soul and head-nodding hip hop.

DJ Durl, a member of J Rawls’ collective The Usual Suspects, will be deejaying. Cost to attend is $10.
